Cam Tu, 7th grade
Cam Tu loves reading anything and everything, which is mostly catalogs, for it’s often all she can find. However, on the rare occasion when she can get a hold of an adventure novel, she devours it like a starving man who just found a bowl of noodles. Two things Cam hates the most are worms and curry. She loves rabbits and monkeys and wishes her mom would change her mind about letting her have a primate pet (not uncommon when you live in the jungle). Her favorite color is also pink. Cam lives deep in the jungle, which means getting to school is very difficult. Cam hopes that her mom doesn’t make her choose between food and school so she can earn the education she longs for.
